Browhouses is a tiny hamlet in Dumfriesshire, isolated down a dead-end lane running down to the northern shore of the Solway Firth, opposite Rockcliffe Marsh across in Cumberland.

The hamlet is at the end of its lane, which runs south to the shore off the B721 road from Gretna to the east to Eastriggs to the west.
