The Hundred of Reigate in Surrey

Reigate is a hundred of Surrey, in the east of the county. It takes its name from the town of Reigate, a substantial place even in the Middle Ages, with its motte castle and land which become the towns of Redhill and Horley

In the Domesday Book of 1086, the hundred was recorded as Cherchefelle; in 1199 it became known as Reigate.
