South Medwin

The South Medwin is a river in Lanarkshire. It rises on the slopes of White Craig in the Pentland Hills and flows southwards, initially known as the Medwin Water, forming the boundary with Peeblesshire. Turning suddenly southwest and coming off the county border it gains the name South Medwin, and works its way southwest and west, taking in the waters of the North Medwin a mile before the combined river enters the River Clyde.

The Medwin flows westward to join the River Clyde a mile south of Carnwath in an area of wild meanders called "The Meetings".
