Govilon is a small village south-west of Abergavenny in north Monmouthshire. It is located on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal between Llanfoist and Gilwern in neighbouring Brecknockshire.
Attractions
The Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal [1] passes through the village [2] and [3]. The village has views overlooking the valley [4] of the River Usk and up to the heights of the southern flank of the Black Mountains. Llanwenarth House, nearby, was built in the 16th century and is operated as a hotel.
