Tring Station is a village gathered around Tring railway station, outside Tring, to the east of the town. The hamlet and station are to the east side of the Grand Union Canal, closer to Aldbury than to Tring, the houses gathered in between the railway line and the canal.

This is a station village, a little place which grew up around the railway station, not as large as such places have grown elsewhere but an established village, with a mixture of plush, detached houses (and modern equivalents) and terraced cottages.

The Pendley Manor Hotel is just to the west, towards Tring. The lane leads west to Tring and east to Albury, with another running south to the village of Cow Roast on the canal and the road to Berkhamsted.
