Wonders of the Peak

The Seven Wonders of the Peak were listed by the philosopher Thomas Hobbes, from the eulogy by William Camden in the late Elizabethan. All within the Peak District of Derbyshire they are a set of natural wonders and one manmade: Poole's Cavern; St Ann's Well, Buxton; The Devil's Arse, near Castleton; Mam Tor, near Castleton; The Ebbing and Flowing Well at Tideswell; Eldon Hole; and Chatsworth House.
