Nasty is a nice hamlet in Hertfordshire found less than half a mile north of the slightly larger village of Great Munden, and about seven miles north of Hertford.

The name of the village is from Old English æt þæm eastan hæge, menaing "at the eastern hedged enclosure".

A little to the north of Nasty, near the smaller hamlet of Cherry Green, is the trace of a Roman road cutting straight across the Hertfordshire countryside towards Baldock, and which remains a public right of way.
