Scotton is a village in Lindsey, the northern part of Lincolnshire. It is seven miles south of Scunthorpe, fourteen miles north-west of Market Rasen, and a mile south of the larger village of Scotter. The western boundary of the parish is formed by part of the A159 Gainsborough to Scunthorpe road.
The 2011 census recorded a population of 642.
The parish church has an unusual dedication: it is the Church of St Genewys. The parish is within the Diocese of Lincoln.
