Falahill is a village in the Moorfoot Hills, in the south of Midlothian (and within the Parish of Heriot).

Nearby are Gilston, East Lothian; the Heriot Water; Oxton, Berwickshire; Soutra Hill; and Torquhan.

Miscellany

The American President Franklin D Roosevelt named his dog ‘Murray the Outlaw of Falahill’ after an ancestor from this village. The dog was usually named ‘Fala’.
