Fordon is a small village in the East Riding of Yorkshire. It is situated approximately eight miles south of Scarborough and ten miles north-west of Bridlington. It forms part of the parish of Wold Newton.
There is a small church dedicated to St James that is now a Grade II* listed building.[1] The small village is thought to be one of the smallest villages in the United Kingdom.
The name Fordon is thought to mean 'In front of the hill'[2]
