It is bounded to the north-west by [[Uttlesford Hundred]]; to the north-east by [[Freshwell Hundred]]; to the east by [[Hinckford Hundred]]; to the south-east by [[Chelmsford Hundred]]; to the south-west by [[Ongar Hundred]]; and to the west by [[Harlow Hundred]]. The Hundred of Dunmow is a hundred of Essex, in the west of the county. It is bounded to the north-west by Uttlesford Hundred; to the north-east by Freshwell Hundred; to the east by Hinckford Hundred; to the south-east by Chelmsford Hundred; to the south-west by Ongar Hundred; and to the west by Harlow Hundred. It had a population of 22,046 in 2011.

Additionally, parts of Abbess Roding and Beauchamp Roding, otherwise in Ongar Hundred extend into Dunmow hundred.
