The River Burn is a little river on Dartmoor, in western Devon. It is a tributary of the River Tavy, which river it joins at Pitts Cleave, immediately north-east of Tavistock.
The river rises in the north of Black Down (the slopes of Gibbet Hill) just south of Lydford and runs south-west to North Brentor, followed by the West Devon Way long-distance walking route. Running down the valley of the stream is the course of a railway, now dismantled, all the way to Tavistock.
