Bargrennan is a hamlet in Kirkcudbrightshire, beside the River Cree and on the A714 road to Girvan, where the Black Burn and the minor road to Glentrool Village join the Cree and the A714 respectively. This village is about nine miles northwest of Newton Stewart,
The Southern Upland Way runs through the village and the Glentrool Forest, managed by the Forestry Commission, is to the north-east of the village.
