The Midshires Way by Wysall

The Nottinghamshire Wolds are a range of low, rolling hills in the very south of Nottinghamshire, and part of the hill country spilling over the county border into Leicestershire, where it is the Leicestershire Wolds.

Amongst the hills are such villages as Normanton-on-the-Wolds, Stanton-on-the-Wolds and Willoughby-on-the-Wolds.

This is a fine, farming land, and the hills are laced with footpaths. The Midshires Way and Cross Britain Way pass over these hills.
