The Osterrieth Range is a mountain range extending in a north-east to south-west direction along the southeast coast of Anvers Island, in the Palmer Archipelago, within the British Antarctic Territory.
The range was discovered by the Belgian Antarctic Expedition of 1897–99, under Gerlache, and named by him for Madame Ernest (Anna) Osterrieth of Antwerp, a patron of the expedition.
Mountains
The range includes the following mountains:
- Billie Peak (64°45’23"S, 63°22’39"W); 2,380 feet
- Mount Camber (64°40’47"S, 63°18’0"W; 4,430 feet
- Clifford Peak (64°34’3"S, 62°51’6"W; 3,770 feet
- Copper Peak (64°43’14"S, 63°20’26"W); 3,690 feet
- Fang Buttress (64°41’23"S, 63°20’33"W); 2,130 feet
- Molar Peak (64°41’29"S, 63°18’55"W); 3,500 feet
Copper Col (64°44’6"S, 63°21’42"W) is a bealach within these mountains, with a summit height of about 1,650 feet, east of Børgen Bay, named indirectly from the Copper Glacier on its south-eastern side.
