Wykeham, Holland

Wykeham is a deserted mediæval village which stood in what is now the parish of Weston in Holland, the south-eastern part of Lincolnshire.
On the site of Wykeham are the ruined chapel of St Nicholas and the earthworks which are the remains of Wykeham Hall: the hall was the country residence of the Prior of Spalding.
The chapel was built in 1311, became a free chapel at the Dissolution of the Monasteries. The roof collapsed in 1782 and it remains a roofless shell, its limestone walls a testament to the mediæval village. The chapel is now a Grade I listed building and the site is a scheduled monument.[1][2][3]
