Worsley Beach is a beach on the east side of Fortuna Bay, which deeply indents the north coast of South Georgia. The beach that is used as a landing site on the bay.
The beach lies to the south of Hodson Point in the Busen Region.
Shackleton's team reached this beach on their epic traverse of the island seeking rescue for their crew marooned on distant Elephant Island. It is named after Commander Frank Arthur Worsley (1872-1943), Master of the Endurance during the British Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition, and who, with Thomas Crean, accompanied Shackleton on the overland crossing to Stromness in May 1916.
