West Rudham is a tiny village in Norfolk, immediately to the west of its larger twin, East Rudham. The village straddles the A148 King's Lynn to Cromer road.
West Rudham also includes the village of Pockthorpe.[1]
History
The name 'Rudham' means 'Rudda's homestead/village' or 'Rudda's hemmed-in land'.[2] There is evidence of occupation during the Middle Ages.[3] In 2016, archaeological test pits were dug.[4] The report was published in 2019.[5]
