Victoria Falls are a waterfall on the southern side of Loch Maree in Wester Ross in Ross-shire. The Abhainn Garbhaig is a short river which flows from Loch Garbhaig to Loch Maree, and here the river plunges into the loch’s own glen (just above where the A832 crosses the river as it courses alongside Loch Maree and by Garbhaig House).
The falls are within Slattadale Forest, owned by the Forestry Commission. Queen Victoria visited the falls in 1877, and they were named in her honour thereafter.
