Vaughan Inlet indents the east coast of the Oscar II Coast of Graham Land in the British Antarctic Territory.

This inlet is about ten and a half miles deep and eight and a half miles wide, lying between Shiver Point and Whiteside Hill on the Oscar II Coast. It was revealed by the retreat of Hektoria, Green and Evans Glaciers, which followed the calving of the Larsen Ice Shelf along the Oscar II Coast in March 2002.

The bay is named after Professor David G. Vaughan, Member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change which won the Nobel Peace Prize, Sept 2007; Honorary Professor of Geography, Swansea University; the British Antarctic Survey Principal Investigator, 1999-present; the British Antarctic Survey glaciologist 1986-1999. Professor Vaughan has been at the forefront of investigations into the movement and break-up of the Antarctic ice sheets, and potential consequences for global climate systems.
