Timpanheck is a village in Dumfriesshire, by a minor brook which flows into the River Sark half a mile below the village. It is on the B6357 road, just north-east of Chapelknowe. The Scots Dike is less than a mile to the east, the Cumberland boundary following the Dike, and thence the River Sark.
