Thrigby is a village in Norfolk, 14 miles east of Norwich, in the east of the south-county in the near Mautby. In 1931 the parish had a population of 47.[1]
Amenities
It has a church called St Mary.[2] Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens are on Filby Road.[3] Thrigby Windmill is a mile east of the village.[4]
History
The name "Thrigby" is Old Scandinavian[5] and means 'Thrykki's farm/settlement'.[6] Thrigby was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Trikebei/Trukebei.
