West StowWest Stow is a small, pretty village in western Suffolk, River Lark in the area known as the Breckland. The village is famed for a reconstructed early Anglo-Saxon village built on the site of an actual village of that age excavated here, in the meadows of the Lark. It often hosts living history re-enactments of life at that period of the Dark Ages. West Stow was settled from around AD 420-650, and the Anglo-Saxon village imitates that period according to the traces actually found.. (Read more) |
