Virgin Gorda, in the British Virgin Islands

Virgin Gorda

Virgin Gorda is an island of eight square miles, the third-largest of the British Virgin Islands, lying at the north-eastrrn end of the island chain. The main town is Spanish Town on the south-western part of the island.

One of the territory's major tourist destinations is an unusual geologic formation on Virgin Gorda known as "The Baths", where huge granite boulders lie in piles on the beach, forming scenic grottoes open to the sea. The north shore of the island opens into the North Sound with its exclusive small islands. (Read more)
