Sherwood ForestSherwood Forest is a royal forest in Nottinghamshire, famous as the abode of the legendary Robin Hood. This has been forest land since the end of the Ice Age and encompasses much of the heart of the county, the nature reserve alone encompassing 1,046 acres surrounding Edwinstowe.
