Inishbofin, County Mayo

Inishbofin is a small island of County Mayo, off the coast of Connemara (in County Galway). It has around 160 inhabitants and is a popular tourist destination. In the seventh century, an abbey was founded on the island, which survived into the Middle Ages. (Read more)
