Eas a' Chual AluinnEas a' Chual Aluinn in the parish of Assynt, Sutherland is Britain's highest waterfall, with a sheer drop of 658 feet. When in full flow it is over three times higher than Niagara Falls. The name is derived from the Gaelic "Eas a' Chùil Àlainn", meaning "waterfall of the beautiful tresses", which is a fine description of its wispy locks. (Read more) |
