Denbigh Castle

Denbigh Castle is the ruin of a fortress built following the 13th-century conquest of Wales by King Edward I.

The castle stands on a rocky promontory above the town of Denbigh in Denbighshire, and it was built on the site of an earlier stronghold built by a Welsh prince. King Edward's new Denbigh Castle was defended by a unique triple-towered gateway. (Read more)
