Bardon Hill

Bardon Hill is the highest point in Leicestershire and the highest point too of the "National Forest", climbing to 912 feet above sea level. It is in the mining areas of the county, looking out over Coalville.

The hill has two very distinct faces – one half is beautiful countryside climbing gently up to the top through heath and woodland, while the other has been carved away by the Bardon Hill Quarry. (Read more)
