Arbury Hill Arbury Hill in Northamptonshire is a distinctly shaped hill found five and a half miles south-west of Daventry. At 738 feet, Arbury Hill’s summit is the highest point in the county. The hill is part of a three-way watershed. No river nor stream enters Northamptonshire at any point, but several rivers issue from the county, and the slopes of Arbury Hill are the sources of the Nene, which flows northwest and ultimately to the Wash, the Leam flowing west to the Warwickshire Avon and thence to the Severn Estuary and the Cherwell flowing south to the Thames.
