AnguillaAnguilla is an island of the Leeward Islands; a place of some 13,500 souls which constitutes a small British overseas territory. Its capital and main village is The Valley. The main island of Anguilla itself is 16 miles long by 3 miles wide at its widest point, and to it belong a number of much smaller islands and cays with no permanent population. The soil of Anguilla is generally thin and poor, supporting only scrub vegetation but it is known for its spectacular and ecologically important coral reefs and beaches. (Read more) |
