Sturton le Steeple is a village in north-eastern Nottinghamshire, located six miles east of Retford and close to the Lincolnshire border. According to the 2011 census it had a population (including Littleborough) of 486

The parish church, St Peter and St Paul's Church, has a 14th-century tower with 12 pinnacles. The rest of the church was rebuilt after a fire in 1901–02.[1]

Half a mile to the north stands West Burton Power Station (on the site of the lost village of West Burton), whose cooling towers dominate the view of what is otherwise a pretty village.
