St Peter's Church is the Church of England parish church in Melton Constable in Norfolk. It stands within Melton Constable Park, the parkland of Melton Constable Hall.
The church is believed to be of Anglo-Saxon origin. It is a Grade I listed building.[1] The church also serves as a mausoleum of the Astley family, who formerly resided at Melton Constable Hall, and contains many monuments to the family: the mausoleum with family tribune above forms south transept.
The materials, details and plan of the church suggest that it was built before the Norman Conquest. It was a tracery window from about 1300. The north transept was built in 1859 and other 19th century elements built in the Romanesque style. The tiled roof is from around 1900.[1] The church underwent a Victoria restoration in 1885.[2]
