Southery is a village in Norfolk, five miles south of Downham Market and ten miles north-east of the Cambridgeshire city of Ely. The River Great Ouse marks the western boundary of the parish, which also borders Cambridgeshire along the River Little Ouse at Brandon Creek.
The wider civil parish had a population of 1,324 at the 2011 Census. The A10 road runs through the parish.
The village's name means "southerly island".[1]
