Sheldon Glacier

Sheldon Glacier (67°30’0"S, 68°22’60"W) is a glacier flowing southeast from Mount Mangin into Ryder Bay on Adelaide Island, which island lies off the west coast of Graham Land in the British Antarctic Territory.
The glacier was named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee in 1977 for Ernest B. Sheldon, who served as the British Antarctic Survey’s meteorological observer at Adelaide Station 1968–69, and Stonington Island 1969–70; as Base Commander of Adelaide Station 1975–76, and at Rothera Station 1976-77.
Until 1977, the glacier was called "Crumbles Glacier".[1]
