Shalloch is a hill of 1,788 feet in the Carrick Forest in the southernmost part of Ayrshire, separated from Eldrick Hill to the west, with a road running down the valley between them. The ridge stretching south from the summit is known as Rig of the Shalloch.
The summit of a higher fell, Shalloch on Minnoch (2,520 feet), the first finger of the Range of the Awful Hand, is a mile and a half to the south-east.
