Summit: 3,245 feet NH055745

Sgùrr Bàn is a mountain in Ross-shire, which reaches a height of 3,245 feet at its summit, and so it qualifies as a Munro. It stands to the north of Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair, on the eastern edge of the Fisherfield Forest a wild and remote area of the Highlands.

The name Sgùrr Bàn means "White Peak", appropriately as its quartzite cap is a glistening white, especially as the sun catches the rock.

The summit itself has two main ridges running north and south, the latter running to a high col before connecting with its much larger neighbour, Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair. The northern ridge terminates bluntly overlooking Loch a Bhrisid.

Most of the faces on the mountain are steep but free of crags. The western slopes are harsher, with crags intruding to contend with, but the mountain may be climbed up other slopes.
