Seafield is a small village in West Lothian, just a mile and a quarter east of Blackburn and two miles southeast of Bathgate.

The village lies between the River Almond to the south and the M8 motorway to the north.

About the village

Just outside of Seafield stands Blackburn House. This is an A-listed building built in 1772 by George Moncrieff.[1]

Big Society

Seafield has many good community amenities such as a primary school, community centre, shop, hotel, bowling club.

The village holds an annual Gala day. It was also until recently home to Seafield & District Pipe Band, which had strong ties to the successful solo piper Chris Armstrong.[2]
