Saltfleet Haven

Saltfleet Haven is a narrow, tidal estuary on the coast of Lincolnshire by which several streams, uniting their waters, enter the North Sea. It is about a mile long, running in a straight line west to east by Saltfleet, a village which took its name from the haven, originally just known as 'Saltfleet'.
The name is from the Old English sealt fleot meaning 'salt haven'.
The streams which feed Saltfleet Haven include the Great Eau, South Dike, Grayfleet Drain and Fleet Drain.
