Ruan Minor is a village on the Lizard peninsula in south-western Cornwall. It stands just hald a mile inland from the fishing port at Cadgwith.
The village, despite its name, is far larger than the decayed hamlet at Ruan Major, which is to be found a mile and a half to the north-west.
Both Ruan Major and Ruan Minor villages have churches dedicated to St Rumonus, though Ruan Major's church, though greatly restored and altered by Edmund Sedding in 1867, stands in a ruinous condition. That of Ruan Minor stands in the village. It is a small, mainly 15th century building and has a Norman piscina.
St Ruan is a hamlet just to the west of Ruan Minor, separated by fields.
