The River Avon Trail in Bickley Wood

The River Avon Trail is a long-distance footpath along the River Avon in Somerset between Bath and Bristol.

The Trail at its downstream end begins at the historic Somerset harbour village of Pill close to the mouth of the Avon. From here it runs upstream through the Avon Gorge to Bristol, crossing the Floating Harbour onto the Gloucestershire bank in the city centre and follows the north bank to upstream of Keynsham, and through the beauteous Somerset countryside to Bath.

The Trail by the Clifton Suspension Bridge

The River Avon Trail is part of the Kennet and Avon Walk, which goes across country from the Severn Estuary to the River Thames at Reading.
