Revelstoke was a small village on the south coast of Devon; little remains of it today. It is in the south-west of the county, on the shore of a small bay opening into the English Channel, on a peninsula between the River Yealm and River Erme. The site is almost two miles south-east of Newton Ferrers.[1]
There is a church still at Revelstoke, called the Church of St Peter the Poor Fisherman.[2]
The old parish contained the village of Noss Mayo, a hamlet north-east of Revelstoke, opposite Newton Ferrers.[3] In 1931 the parish had a population of 347.[4]
