Rackenford is an inland village in Devon, about seven miles north-west of Tiverton and twenty miles south-east of Barnstaple.
The Little Dart River rises by Rackenford, before beginning its westward course to join the River Taw.
Parish church
The village church, situated in the middle of the village, is All Saints Church, previously named Holy Trinity.
About the village
Rackenford has two pubs; the Rackenford Club on the Old Rackenford Road, and The Stag Inn opposite the church, and which t is rumoured to be one of the oldest pubs in Devon and to contain beams from the Mary Rose. The Stag Inn closed in 2016.
