Port Appin is a remote village in Argyllshire, in the little district of Appin in that shire, on the east shore of Loch Linnhe. The village stands opposite the northern tip of the Isle of Lismore, and a passenger ferry runs the short distance between Port Appin and Lismore
The village is on the long lane which runs around the south-westernmost tip of Appin, from and back to the A848 coast road.
There is a hotel by the ferry jetty, and a couple of artists' studios are found on the lane.
