Pinvin is a village in Worcestershire, a little to the north of Pershore, about seven and a half mile south-east of Worcester, and about six miles north-west of Evesham[1] and stands at the crossroads of the A44, A4104 and B4082. It is also the location of Pershore railway station.
The village has a church and a pub.
The name of the village is thought to come from 'Penda's fen' after the King Penda of the Mercians, who was possible born in the nearby Cotswolds.[2] David Rudkin's television play Penda's Fen (1974) was set here and also references this fact.
