Oulton Dyke

Oulton Dyke is a freshwater stretch of water in the Suffolk Broads.

The dyke, wholly in Suffolk, connects Oulton Broad near Lowestoft to the River Waveney, which forms the border with Norfolk. The river's confluence with the Waveney is near the village of Burgh St Peter.

Oulton Dyke is to the west of Oulton Marsh and of Oulton, effectively the western suburbs of Lowestoft. It is approximately a mile long: from Oulton Broad it heads west then after some 400 yards makes a sharp turn to reach northwards to join the River Waveney.
