Oulton is a hamlet in Norfolk, build around a parish church. The parish population was recorded at 196 in 74 households at the 2001 census. It is found a mile and a half south-east of Saxthorpe and four miles west of Aylsham, on a small stream which runs north into the River Bure. To the south-west is an airfield, and by it another hamlet of much the same siaze, Oulton Street.
The parish church is St Peter & St Paul, which is part of a joint benefice with St Andrew, Saxthorpe.
Oulton Hall
Oulton Hall is a Grade II listed building, parts of the privately owned hall date back to the 18th century.[1]
In the spring of 2015, the hall was extensively damaged by fire.[2]
The grounds of the hall are occasionally opened to the public for the National Gardens Scheme charity.[3]
