Orwell, Kinross-shire

Orwell is a parish in the county of Kinross. Its principal settlement is Milnathort. The parish was created in 1845.[1] Its population was 3,005 in 1831, but this had dropped to 1,983 in 1911. However the 2001 census revealed it had risen again to 2,211.
The ecclesiastical parish of Orwell and Portmoak includes Orwell church in Milnathort and Portmoak church in Scotlandwell.[2]
