Newport is a suburb swallowed within Middlesbrough in the North Riding of Yorkshire. It is found where the A66 curves round by the banks of thr River Tees and consistes largely of modern, municipal housing. Here a spur road between the A19 and A66 crosses the Tees on the Tees Newport Bridge.
