Newland is a small village on the Furness peninsula of Lancashire, a mile north of Ulverston on the A590 road.
The village is at the edge of the low hills forming the spine of the peninsula, and the edge of the marshy coastal plain running down to the Leven Sands. The Newland Beck works its way to the estuary here.
